Responsibility
Conducting scheduled periodical maintenance as a part of major stops and large-scale mainte-nance activities in the area of E-I&A. This chiefly entails:
- assessing the state of repair on the basis of checklists, insight and practical experience
- resolving existing and imminent defects
- conducting revisions
- reporting and explaining findings to supervisors or production managers
- making suggestions for technical improve-ments
- providing the information needed in order to determine the appropriate approach, working methods and implementation strategy and making proposals in this area
Resolved malfunctions Resolving more complex malfunctions in the area of E-I&A and - to a limited extent - mechanical engineering on the basis of reports and studies, and providing advice on the resolution of basic and complex malfunctions in order to ensure that activities can be resumed and disruptions to the production process are minimised. This chiefly entails:
- localising malfunctions and determining the relevant causes
- determining the nature, severity and scope of malfunctions and resolving them on the basis of knowledge, experience and insight
- determining whether colleagues from other fields are to be involved in the process
- conducting more large-scale repairs at scheduled times and on the basis of assignments
Conducting modifications on the basis of work orders and as a part of existing and new con-struction projects in order to ensure that compo-nents of the relevant equipment/systems meet all predetermined quality requirements. This chiefly entails:
- co-initiating improvements on the basis of knowledge, experience and insight
- elaborating improvements into sketches
- installing and commissioning electronic com-ponents, PLCs and operating systems in aid of control functions, in consultation with external specialists.
- configuring, testing and adjusting operating sys-tem components
- testing operating systems, making necessary changes in response to practical circumstanc-es, discussing findings with the relevant supervi-sor
- communicating operating instructions and procedures to production staff
- inspecting components and assessing methods that are to be used, taking into account their influence on the overall process
Conducting various tasks in the area of work preparation, administration and quality assur-ance, including:
- ensuring that all necessary materials are avail-able on-site
- reporting any missing materials to the Manager
- communicating on progress
- delivering the assignment to the client and fil-ing the internal completion report
- justifying time spent and materials used
- calibrating measuring and control equipment in accordance with applicable guidelines, and registering and reporting test results so that any defects are detected, recorded and resolved and all equipment continues to meet the ap-plicable quality standards
- issuing technical instructions to engineers as-signed to the project
- de-energising machines and releasing them for use in accordance with safety guidelines
Ensuring quality, and health, safety and en-vironmental aspects
- Performs all duties and fulfils all obligations with a focus on protecting health, safety and the environment in the workplace and the quality of products and processes
- Actively contributes to continuous improve-ment of health, safety, the environment and quality. Discusses all potential proposals for improvement with the supervisor or responsi-ble party involved in the process
- Displays a proactive attitude by reporting any problems and situations that could nega-tively impact quality, health, safety or the environment to the relevant supervisor and taking appropriate action in urgent situations
Essential skills
